Abstract
This Regulation of the Government, which is composed of 16 articles and five Annexes, implements the relevant European Union provisions and regulates the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment and other conditions for the marketing of electrical and electronic equipment. The aim is to contribute to the protection of human health and the environment. The present Regulation applies to electrical and electronic equipment of the following categories: large and small household appliances, information technology equipment and telecommunication equipment, consumer electronics, lighting equipment, electrical and electronic tools, toys, leisure and sports, medical devices, monitoring and control instruments including industrial monitoring and control instruments, vending machines and other electrical equipment not listed in art. 2 point (3). Electrical and electronic equipment placed on the market must not contain hazardous substances specified in Annex 1, unless stated otherwise.
