Abstract
This Act provides for safe trade of veterinary medicinal products and is aiming to guarantee the quality, effectiveness and safety of veterinary medicinal products. The provisions of this Law are intended to ensure a high level of protection for animal health, animal welfare and the environment and public health. The Act is also implementing relevant EU regulations and further provides for production, distribution, consumption or use on the Union market of the veterinary medicinal products, processing up to the ready-to-use packaged products and treatment preparation for substances. This Act does not apply to immunological veterinary medicinal products which are produced using pathogens or by biotechnical, biochemical or synthetic means according to Article 4 number 5 of Regulation (EU) 2019/6. The Act provides for specific requirements for labelling and packaging of the veterinary medical products, clinical trials and residue test, authorisation and manufacturing license, wholesale distribution permit, public information, treatment with antibacterial agent, quality control, quality control and monitoring. The Act consists of 95 Articles divided into 6 Sections. Two Appendixes are enclosed.
