Abstract
The present Ordinance implements, inter alia, the Regulation (EC) No. 853/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 laying down specific hygiene rules for the hygiene of foodstuffs. The present Ordinance regulates the official inspection of the production, processing and marketing of foodstuff of animal origin, and implements certain EU-directives on the same subject. The text consists of 7 Articles as follows: Sphere of application and Definitions (1); Official examinations during the production of meat for own domestic consumption (1a); Dispensing of small quantities of primary products and other foodstuffs of animal origin (2); Requirements for the retail trade (3); Requirements for the production, handling and placing on the market of food within the scope of Regulation (EC) No. 853/2004 (4); Common requirements for the supply of small quantities of foodstuffs, retail trade and the manufacture, handling and placing on the market of foodstuffs within the scope of Regulation (EC) No 853/2004 (5); Penal (6); Final provision (7). Nine Annexes are enclosed. Articles 11, 20 and 25 are deleted.
