Abstract
This Law provides for implementation of the EU Regulation Nos. 1523/2007 and 1007/2009 on prohibition for placing on the market and ban on import and export of cat and dog fur and products containing such fur, and ban on trade in seal products. The Law provides for keeping and selling bans on certain conditions for fur animals and for pregnant animals, obligation to provide information, participation of customs authorities and offences. The Law has 5 Annexes referring to issues of requirements for keeping fur animals, requirements for fur animal housing facilities, special requirements for keeping mink, polecats, foxes and raccoon dogs and special requirements for the keeping of coypu and chinchillas. This Law has 11 Articles divided into 5 Sections.
