Abstract
The purpose of the present Law is to implement and complete the Federal Soil Protection Act of 17 March 1998 (BGBl. I p. 502). The text consists of 12 articles as follows: Purpose of the Law, duties of authorities and other public planning organs (1); Duty to notify and duty to give information (2); Right of passage (3); Completing provisions for harmful changes of the soil (4); Measures adopted by the authorities (5); Information system concerning the quality of the soil (6); Data-processing system (7); Experts and inspection organs (8); Penalties (9); Amendment of the Berlin Water Law (10); Amendment of the General Competency Law (11); Entry into force (12). One Annex is enclosed.
