Abstract
Article 1 of the above-mentioned Act establishes that the Act applies to the labelling of products with data on consumption of energy and of other essential resources and CO2 emissions through energy labelling, other product information and disclosures in advertisements and other promotional information. The text – consisting of 19 articles – deals, inter alia, with the following aspects: sphere of application, definition of terms, general requirements for consumption labelling, other product information and information in advertising, responsibility for market surveillance and cooperation, ordinance authorisation, random checks and market surveillance measures, access rights, reporting procedure and requirements, commission body and its tasks, eligibility for consumption labelling and obligation to label consumption. Four Annexes are enclosed.
