Abstract
A basic Act to regulate the production of feedstuffs, in particular to ensure that no danger arises for the health of human being; to secure that they do not damage the health of animals, to protect of fraudulent practices in the marketing of feedstuffs, and finally to implement EU directives on the subject. It consists of 25 articles divided into 10 Parts: General provisions (I) - Sphere of application - Definition of certain terms such as "feedstuffs", "additives", "feedstuffs for dietary use", "feedstuffs made of more than one component", "additives", "undesired substances", "Member State", "third countries", etc.; General provisions in respect of the production of feedstuffs (II); General provisions for the use of additives and other components in the production of feedstuffs (III); Labelling, publicity and packaging (IV); Requirements to be met by plants producing feedstuffs (V); Exceptions granted by the competent regional authority; Hearing of experts (VI); Importation, exportation (VII); Registration of firms producing feedstuffs with the competent regional authority; Duty of keeping records and survey on behalf of the competent authority (VIII); Penalties (IX); Final provisions (X).
