Abstract
This Action Plan is drafted pursuant to the EU Regulation No. 1143/2014 on the prevention and management of the introduction and spread of invasive alien species. The Plan provides pathways based on the list of invasive alien species that has been produced and supplemented by the EU Regulations; based on Union importance. The Plan describes the preventive measures to be taken for prevention of introduction of the invasive alien into the Member State and release into the wild based on different categories. This Plan further draws up the measures for the priority pathways that Germany has identified pursuant to the adoption of the Union list. The text further provides for the procedure for developing the Action Plan. Section B describes catalogs of measures for different paths including botanical garden; pet trade; animal park; ornamental plants; contamination of soil; motor vehicles; ballast water; and fishing accessories.
