Law on competences implementing marketing for meat, poultry meat and eggs.

The present Ordinance implements the Commercial Class Act in its version of 23 November 1972; the Council Regulation (EC) No. 1234/2007 establishing a common organisation of agricultural markets and on specific provisions for certain agricultural products (Single CMO Regulation) of 22 October 2007; the Commission Regulation (EC) No. 617/2008 laying down detailed rules for implementing Regulation (EC) No. 1234/2007 as regards marketing standards for eggs for hatching and farmyard poultry chicks of 27 June 2008 and the Laying Hens Industries Register Act of 12 September 2003. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the correct and efficient enforcement of the afore-mentioned legislation in Sachsen-Anhalt. The text consists of 6 articles as follows: Competence for inspection and official directives for meat and poultry (1); Competence for inspection and official directives for eggs (2); Issuing of permits and control of packing (3); Inspection of hatcheries, breeding farms and breeding establishments of the poultry industry (4); Registration of hatchery, farms and breeding establishments (5); Registration of establishment rearing laying hens (6).
