Abstract
The purpose of the present Ordinance is to transpose into German law the Council Regulation (EC) No. 510/2006 on the protection of geographical indications and designations of origin for agricultural products and foodstuffs. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to conditions and proceedings of authorization of private inspection bodies under the aforementioned Regulation. The text consists of 4 articles as follows: Conditions of authorization (1); Authorization proceedings (2); Duties of inspection bodies (3); Entry into force, repeal (4).
