Abstract
The present Ordinance establishes the “National Park Jasmund”. Article 2 lays down provisions relating to the surface description and specific demarcation of the National Park. In particular, the aim of the Park is the: 1) conservation of its typical - in Europe unique - chalk landscape with its characteristic surface forms; 2) creation of an undisturbed development of natural processes on a large surface (including coastal areas, water resources and forest development); 3) regeneration of locally differentiated rich natural forests, including their natural dynamic on a larger surface; 3) regeneration of certain specific local moor lands; 4) conservation of the specific natural landscape in its diversity of flora and fauna.
