Ordinance on the establishment of nature reserves and a landscape conservation area of central importance under the name “Märkische Schweiz”.

The present Ordinance establishes the Nature Park “Märkische Schweiz” Article 2 lays down provisions relating to surface description and specific demarcation of the Nature Park. In particular, the aim of the Park is the: 1) preservation and improvement of precious landscape structures resulting from natural circumstances; 2) safeguard the sustainability of recreation function as well as respecting nature protection aspects: 3) maintaining and improving the water quality and the embankment design of water bodies; 4) conservation and restoration of watercourses; 5) promoting a sustainable agriculture and forestry; 6) maintaining and restoring the typical landscape of agricultural areas of the territory; 7) preservation, maintenance and development of diverse habitats in particular of vulnerable organisms and a comprehensive system of interlinked biotopes.
