Abstract
This Regulation applies to biocidal products as are defined in the Chemicals Act 2013. Biocidal products may only be available in the market, if the product has been approved by the Federal Office of Chemicals. Biocidal products may be offered online for mail order if the offer contains the registration number. For manufacturing, commercial using and trade of biocidal products, providing information, reporting and getting registration number are required. The Federal Office of Chemicals provides an electronic directory on the website of the Federal Institute of Occupational Safety and Health with a list of registered biocidal products. Supply of biocidal products is subject to admission restrictions and acquiring expertise and evidence of professional qualifications. The authorisation and approval of these products are subject to nominated restrictions. This Regulation consists of 6 Sections as follow: Scope, definitions (1); Notification of biocidal products (2); Regulation on the supply of biocidal products (3); Regulations on the authorisation of biocidal products (4); Obligation to notify (5); Final provisions (6).
