Abstract
The present Ordinance implements the Rheinland-Pfalz Water Law of 22 January 2004. In particular, the purpose of the Ordinance is to transpose into German law the Council Directive 91/271/EEC of 1 May 1991 concerning urban waste water treatment of 21 May 1991. The Ordinance concerns the collection, treatment and emission of local waste water and the treatment and discharge of waste waters from certain industries. The text consists of 10 articles as follows: Purpose, sphere of application (1); Definition of terms (2); Catchment areas of sensitive regions (3); Canalization (4); Discharge of urban waste water (5); Discharge of industrial waste water into water bodies (6); Survey, re-use (7); Other requirements (8); Sludge (9); Entry into force (10). Three Annexes are enclosed.
