Abstract
This Act defines regulation-making powers of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries for fighting of living organisms, except vertebrates, that may harm plant species. The rules to be issued shall also implement EC legislation. They shall regulate the storage, importation, exportation, sale of cultures that may be harmful to plants, the prohibition of planting of specified plant species, the treatment of cultivated land, plants, plant products, soil and growing agents with specified pesticides, the compulsory cutting down and destruction of vegetation, etc.

Consolidated version of Act No. 190 of 1984 as notified by LBK No. 687 of 1996.Act No. 121 of 1957 regarding fighting of harmful plant pests and diseases is repealed.
