Abstract
The Act sets regulations for the correct keeping of horses, destined to technical and scientific studies carried out under the supervision of the Animal Experiments Inspectorate. Keeping of these animals shall adhere to rules concerning stables' proper layout (size, areas etc.) and feeding of horses.
The Act consist of 12 Chapters: Scope, definitions (1); Stabling (2); Interior of barns (3); Access to fold (4); Food and water (5); Monitoring (6); Commissioning and training (7); Care and labelling (8); Education (9); Compensation and insurance (9a); Administrative regulations (10); Injunctions and penalties (11); Entry into force and transitional provisions (12).

For horses stabled prior to 1 July 2007, entry into force 1 January 2016 (articles 11, 16 and 18 with regard to the enclosure of horses) and 1 January 2020 (articles 6-7, 9 and 14 with regard to stable boxes for horses).
Notes
