Act No. 292 of 1994, on access to information relating to the environment (Environment Information Act).

This Act regulates the access of the general public to official documents regarding the environment, i.e. (a) the environment i.e. the state of water, air, soil, fauna, flora, land and natural sites; (b) activities (including those which give rise to nuisances such as noise) or measures adversely affecting, or likely so to affect the environment; (c) activities or measures designed to protect the environment, including administrative measures and environmental management programmes. A request for access to information relating to the environment shall be dealt with in accordance with the rules of section 16(1) and (2) of Act on Public Access to Documents in Administrative Files.
