Abstract
Through this Act the scientific ethics committee system aims to ensure that health research is conducted in an ethically responsible manner.
The Act consists of 10 Chapters: Scope, purpose and area (1); Definitions (2); Informed consent for participation in medical research (3); Review of medical research (4); The ethical review committee and the casework (5); Establishment of research ethics committees (6); Health research project implementation, committee system monitoring, control and other tasks (7); Financing (8); Penalties and compensation (9); Entry into force and transitional arrangements (10).
