Abstract
This Act regulates the access of the general public to official documents regarding environmental issues such as the state of water, air, soil, fauna, flora, land and natural sites; activities (including noise) or measures adversely affecting, or likely so to affect the environment; activities or measures designed to protect the environment, including administrative measures and environmental management programmes. The consolidated version amends article 4, section 6, with regard to decisions on public access to environmental information which can be appealed separately to the authority body in relation to the decision or treatment in general of the case (article 4). Refusal of access granted may be presented to a Board of Appeal in adherence to the Environmental Protection Act, Chapter 12.
