Act on seeds, potatoes and plants (No. 261 of 1999).

This Act sets regulation to production and sale of potatoes, living plants or parts of plants and applies in particular to the registration of production and sales activities, testing, approval and nomination of kinds of agricultural and marine plant species and for the establishment of an official register of approved plant species, approval and testing of plant breeding materials, classification and approval for sale on the basis of origin, use, health, quality and treatment, importation and exportation, packing and marking, etc. (sect. 3).
