Act on subsidies to improve the structure and efficiency of agriculture (No. 955 of 1992).

Through this Act, the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries sets regulations necessary for the implementation of EU guidelines on the improvement of agricultural structures and financial support thereof. Subsidy may also be granted to young farmers (of 40 years of age or less) and to private agricultural areas which are subject to afforestation and that are registered as forest protection zones. This financial support includes the reduction or conversion of agricultural production.
