Act on the use of fertilizers and plant covers (No. 767 of 2004).

The scope of the Act is to regulate the use in agriculture of fertilizing substances and to establish requirements for establishment of plant covers for purposes of limiting the outflow of nitrogen substances. The Act consists is divided into 8 Chapters: Scope of the Act, application sphere (1); fertilizing (2); Plant covers (3); Planning and accounting requirements (4); Suppliers of fertilizing substances (5); Administration of Act (6).
The Minister of Agriculture shall establish a register for activities in which substances covered by this Act are involved (sect. 2). Sections 6 to 9 contain rules for fertilizers with nitrogen content.
