Abstract
The Contracting States shall cooperate closely with a view to preserving and increasing the living resources of the Baltic Sea and the Belts and, in particular, to expanding and coordinating studies towards these ends. The Parties shall also endeavour to prepare and put into effect organizational and technical projects on conservation and growth of the living resources, including measures of artificial reproduction of valuable fish species. Article II defines the area to which the present provisions shall apply. All fish species and other living marine resources comprised within that area shall be covered by the scope of the Convention. An International Baltic Sea Fishery Commission is established under article V for the purpose of this Convention.
