Abstract
The Act sets regulations in regard to fences by planting of trees or bushes, with a maximum alignment of up to 7 plant rows and of a maximum width of 10 meters. The purpose of the Act is to ensure the reduction of wind speed on land intended for agriculture, outdoor horticulture, orchard, plant nursery. The Act does not apply to forest areas and includes subsidy for the establishment of such fences.
The Act consists of 3 Chapters: General Provisions (1); Subsidies for windbreak (2); Entry into force (3).

Entry into force notes
Entry into force shall be established by the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries.
Notes
The Act does not apply to Greenland nor the Faroe Islands.
