Abstract
The Act applies to ports used for commercial handling of goods, vehicles, persons and landing of fish. Construction of new ports and expansion of existing ports require permission from the Secretary of Transportation. The Minister of Transport makes provisions to implement international conventions and EU rules on matters governed by this Law, including regulations, directives and decisions in regards to proper operation activities in Danish ports.
It consists of 7 Chapters: Scope (1); Installations, maintenance and closure of ports (2); Access to use of a port (3); Organization (4); Employment conditions (5); Security of port facilities and harbours (5A); Order Regulations and appeals (6); Penalties, entry into force, transitional provisions (7).
