Abstract
This Order applies to animals that are susceptible to infection with the bacterium Bacillus anthracis (Anthrax). The purpose of the document's provisions include the identification of suspicious clinical symptoms of anthrax in livestock farming - from temperature rise, lethargy, tremors, convulsions swelling in neck areas, bloody diarrhea, breathing problems, and/or sudden death presented by ruminants, horses and pigs - and which call for immediate veterinary inspection in laboratories certified by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration. Any case of epidemiologic inspection must be registered and notified to the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration. Vaccination against Anthrax is NOT permitted.
