Abstract
This Order regulates the registration, weighing, reporting and control of information concerning fish landed directly in Denmark and fish imported from non-EU countries. It applies to persons and businesses that unload, receive, transport, process, store, offer for sale, sell, buy, handle, take home, import or arrange weighing of fish. It requires daily recording and submission of information to the Danish Agricultural and Fisheries Agency for fish received, purchased directly from fishers, stored or processed from own catches, sold directly to consumers, taken home for own use above 5 kg, landed abroad, traded, exported or transited, with deadlines generally linked to first sale or landing. It also sets rules on electronic or form-based reporting depending on turnover, documentation of weighing results, use of approved scales or accredited inspection bodies, transport documents where no sales note or takeover declaration has been submitted, and special notification and weighing rules for herring, mackerel, industrial fish, pelagic species and unsorted landings. The annexes specify the data to be reported and the sampling plans for industrial catches, fish weighed and packed on board, and unsorted catches for consumption. The Order also authorises the Agency to issue control-related orders on notification, reporting, weighing, sorting, transport, timing and CCTV access for listed ports, and provides penalties for non-compliance.
