Abstract
This Order applies to applications for permit of exploration and extraction of minerals from the seabed, the reporting of exploration data for the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS), the Danish Nature Agency and reporting of extracted raw materials to the Danish Nature Agency. In order to ensure the protection of the marine environment, the applications shall include all information related to possible damage to the environment during and after the extraction activities, quality, quantity and geographic location of extractions, resource distribution (sediment composition and any stone percentages), distribution of dominant flora and fauna, including quantitative information on biomass and biodiversity, archeology interest points, commercial activities in the defined area (fishing, presence of cables, old ammunition etc.), and information on the exploration and extraction machinery.
