Abstract
This Order sets regulations on granting subsidies to fishing ports by the Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries. The entity administers decisions of investments in projects for existing ports and landing sites where landings of fish have been worth at least a yearly average amount of 785 373 DKK, and implementation of regulations of this Order are being carried out by the Danish Food Commerce Agency. Agreements for grants can be given to projects that are of collective interest of fishermen or aquaculture producers using port or landing sites and with the following requirements: that the project entails an environmental adaptation of fishing ports for the development of fish landing value and quality; and that the project is appropriate in relation to the provision of services to fishing vessels. Granting of subsidies may be of maximum 50% and suspension thereof in case of force majeur, applies to expropriation and severe natural disasters affecting the interested parties’ business.
