Order No. 1226 on veterinary use, administration and prescription of drugs for animals.

This Order sets regulations with regard to storage, use, dispensing and prescribing medicine for animals. It provides also authorized veterinarians the necessary restrictions for medicine and unauthorized substances as well as prohibition of using certain hormones on animals. For treating animals it is required to use medicine regulated and authorized by the Danish Health Authority in accordance with rules laid down by the Council of the European Union.
