Abstract
Pursuant to article 61, section 3 of Act No. 520, this Order sets guidelines with what concerns the Preparedness Committee members who shall monitor steps taken by the operating company, an offshore installation, pipeline, ship or other device, to intervene in the event of a major accident and to assist authorities in the coordination of rescue and control measures. Among the Committee's tasks and responsibilities, it shall ensure authorities gain full access to a major accident sequence and measures taken by the operating company. To advise and inform a ministerial committee consisting of the Climate, Energy and Building Minister, Minister of Justice, Minister of Defence and Minister of the Environment with delegates at the official level (delegate selection). To coordinate any direct action from abroad. And to assist with official contact with the press. The emergency Committee consists of a chairman and four members representing one of the following authorities: Danish Energy Agency, the Defense Command, the Ministry of Justice, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Danish Maritime Authority.
