Order No. 1450 on the regulation of commercial fishing for flatfish other than plaice by Danish-registered fishing vessels in German waters in the Baltic Sea.

This Executive Order regulates commercial fishing by Danish-registered fishing vessels for flatfish other than plaice in German waters of the Baltic Sea, specifically ICES areas 22 and 24. It requires vessels to obtain a time-limited permit, valid until 31 December 2026, in order to fish, carry and land such flatfish, and sets eligibility rules based on vessel size and engine power. The Danish Agricultural and Fisheries Agency may issue a limited number of permits in different vessel categories, with allocation by priority criteria or lottery if applications exceed the limits. The Order also prohibits fishing for turbot in a defined area off Mecklenburg-Vorpommern from 1 June to 31 July, establishes fines for violations, and replaces the previous 2024 Order while preserving permits already issued under that earlier regime.
