Abstract
This Order imposes a production levy on pigs produced in Denmark that are either slaughtered and approved for human consumption or exported live. Slaughterhouses must collect DKK 5.35 per pig weighing under 120 kg and DKK 9.10 per pig weighing 120 kg or more, report the number slaughtered, and pay the levy to the Pig Levy Fund; separate rates ranging from DKK 2.75 to DKK 9.10 apply to live exports depending on the animal’s weight. The Order also regulates invoicing, reporting, interest on late payments, recovery of unpaid amounts and fines for non-compliance.
