Order No. 210 on the Section 8 occupational health and safety course for safety committees and safety groups on fishing vessels.

This Executive Order regulates the mandatory occupational health and safety training required for members of safety committees and safety groups on fishing vessels. It sets the purpose, structure and content of both the initial course and the refresher course, requiring participants to develop practical knowledge of workplace risks, accident prevention, risk assessment, relevant legislation, communication, cooperation and the roles of safety representatives and ship management. The initial course must last at least 32 hours and normally have no more than 15 participants, while approved course providers must use qualified instructors, evaluate their courses, assess participants and issue and register certificates.
