Order No. 276 on the vocational education for veterinary nurses.

This Order lays down rules on the vocational education of veterinary nurses. The vocational education has the overall purpose that students, through classroom instruction and practical training, acquire knowledge and skills within the following general competency areas: 1. Veterinary nursing and assisting veterinarians, as well as operating and maintaining instruments and equipment in a veterinary practice; 2. Service-related tasks concerning clients in a veterinary practice; and 3. Working with consideration for the environment, workplace safety, economy, and quality in a given work situation. The education gives the title of "veterinary nurse", level 4 in the Danish Qualifications Framework for lifelong learning.
