Abstract
The Order sets rules with regard to the environmental contributions and payment of compensation in connection with the dismantling and scrapping of vehicles. The insurance in adherence to the Law on Environment and reimbursement in connection with dismantling and scrapping of vehicles is compulsory. Indemnity to last registered owner of vehicles may be granted after their scrapping. Compensation shall be paid if the car is deregistered in the Central Registration after 30 June 2000.

Scrapping allowance for cars for destruction, and where the certificate of destruction is signed in the period from 5 November 2010 to 31 January 2014 and deregistered in the Central Registration no later than 28 February 2014 shall be paid in accordance with article 8, section 1 of Order No. 1234 of 1 November 2010. Cars which have been handed over to destruction, and which certificate of destruction is signed before 5 November 2010 shall be treated in accordance to Order No. 782 of 17 September 2002.
