Abstract
This Executive Order regulates access to veterinary practice in Denmark for EU and EEA nationals, and nationals of countries covered by relevant EU agreements, who obtained their professional qualifications outside Denmark. It provides for recognition of qualifications, prior notification for temporary or occasional practice, and formal authorisation for permanent establishment, including documentary requirements concerning nationality, qualifications, professional status, and disciplinary restrictions. Veterinarians may not practise permanently before authorisation is granted, must provide specified professional information to clients, and may need Danish authorisation to prescribe medicines. Breaches may be punished by fines.
