Order No. 49 on the Fund for Plant-Based Foods.

The present Executive Order regulates the governance and grant-making procedures of Denmark’s Fund for Plant-Based Foods. It establishes an 11-member board, annual application rounds and eligibility rules for businesses, farmers, aquaculture operators, associations, public bodies and research institutions seeking support for projects generally ranging from DKK 100,000 to DKK 15 million. Funding may cover research and development, training and knowledge exchange, consultancy, promotion, participation in quality schemes, innovation clusters and networks, including projects involving seaweed and algae, subject to EU State-aid and de minimis rules and the maximum support rates set out in the annexes. The Order also lays down requirements on applications, project duration, cooperation agreements, budget changes, reporting, payments, accounting, auditing, controls and record retention. It preserves the previous rules for grants based on applications submitted before its date, with certain new payment and reporting provisions applying to all grants under the Fund.
