Abstract
This Order regulates the submission of physical samples and geological, geophysical and drilling data relating to Denmark’s subsoil by licence holders carrying out activities under the Danish Subsoil Act. It requires operators to provide samples, measurements, reports and analyses to the Danish Energy Agency and GEUS (Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland) within specified deadlines, covering seismic, gravimetric, magnetic, acoustic, electromagnetic, geotechnical and geochemical investigations, as well as drilling operations. The regulation sets detailed reporting obligations, including progress reports during data collection, daily drilling reports, final well reports, and the deposit of geological samples such as cores, drill cuttings and fluid samples. Its purpose is to ensure that information about Denmark’s geological resources is systematically collected, preserved and made available to the authorities, while providing for penalties in cases of non-compliance.
