Abstract
This Order sets regulations concerning avian influenza surveillance in food, specifically in poultry, farmed feathered game and other birds in captivity. The text gives guidelines on criteria requirements for the sale of such commodity, together with routine laboratory tests which are detailed in the attached Appendices.
The Order consists of 7 Chapters and 3 Appendices; Scope and definitions (1); Early warning system for avian influenza (2); Routine surveillance for avian influenza in poultry (3); Routine surveillance for avian influenza in farmed feathered game (4); Laboratory tests (5); Particularly on zoos (6); Payment, penalties and entry into force (8).
