Order No. 824 on the rules of procedure of the Energy Complaints Board.

This Order lays down the rules of procedure for the Energy Complaints Board's handling of cases where such appeal competence is provided by law. It regulates the appointment and role of the chairmanship, requiring the chair and deputy chairs to be judges, and gives the chair responsibility for organising the Board’s work, meetings, agendas, case presentation and execution of decisions. It provides that the chair may decide certain cases on behalf of the Board, while Nævnenes Hus acts as the secretariat, preparing meetings, cases, draft letters and draft decisions. The Order also sets rules on written decisions, correction of obvious errors, identification of participating members, dissenting opinions, dispatch and publication of anonymised decisions. Finally, it regulates the categories and nomination of expert members, including lawyers, economists, engineers, auditors and persons with knowledge of energy, utilities and business matters, as well as ad hoc appointment of experts from relevant universities, professional bodies and organisations.
