Abstract
The Order, through the Fisheries Directorate - sets rules on oyster fishing and transport thereof in the Limfjord waters by monitoring regulations in regards to licences, fishing areas, sampling and vessel dimension requirement for these activities. Fishing and landing of oysters is prohibited in the Limfjord from 15 May to 31 August. Regulations on oyster size: if they weigh less than 60 grams, they may NOT be kept onboard, landed, stored, transported and sold but must immediatelly be discarded as soon as possible and in living state. However, it is permitted that in each landing and each lot is up to 5% weight not meeting these measurements. Every landing and every batch of oysters may contain a maximum catch of 10% of weight of mussels and any by-catch of shells and animals, including mussels, shall immediately be discarted.
Oysters must be landed the same day they are caught. Catch in excess shall immediately after the catch be discarded at the point where fished. It is not allowed to deposit captured oysters in the water or elsewhere before landing.
