Order No. 965 on public control for the movement of live animals and breeding material between Denmark and other countries in the common trade area and for the importation of live animals and breeding material into Denmark from third countries.

The present Order lays down requirements for importers and exporters in connection with the movement of live animals and breeding material between Denmark and other countries in the common trade area, as well as the importation of live animals and breeding material into Denmark from third countries. The Order supplements Regulation (EU) 2017/625 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 March 2017. It further lays down registration and reporting requirements for different types of trade activities, as well as authorization requirements.
The Order contains 26 Articles organized in the following chapters: 1. Scope of application and definitions; 2. Registration of importers and exporters of shipments of live animals; 3. Specific requirements for exporters when transporting shipments of live animals to other countries in the common trade area; 4. Specific requirements for importers and recipients when moving shipments of live animals from other countries in the common trade area; 5. Specific requirements for importers when importing live animals from third countries; 6. Specific requirements for importers when returning shipments of live animals; 7. Registration of importers and exporters of shipments of breeding material; 8. Specific requirements for exporters when transporting shipments of breeding material to other countries in the common trade area; 9. Specific requirements for importers when moving shipments of breeding material from other countries in the common trade area; 10. Importation of breeding material of non-farmed animals from third countries; 11. Re-importation of shipments of breeding material from other countries in the trade area; 12. Penalties and enforcement.
