Abstract
The present Regulation applies to horses moved between border areas in Denmark and Germany, as outlined in Article 139 of the European Parliament and Council Regulation (EU) 2016/429 (Animal Health Law), in order to ensure compliance with health standards set by the EU. Operators of businesses that are registered, pursuant to Article 93(1)(a) of the Animal Health Law, and who wish to use the exemption for movements of horses in accordance with the provisions of this Regulation, must notify the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration. The Regulation contains rules on official controls, measures in case of non-compliance, requirements for movement of horses in border areas of Denmark and Germany, etc.
