Regulation No. 1615 on recreational fishing in saltwater and freshwater, as well as gear fishing, etc. in freshwater.

The present Regulation, issued by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, lays down rules on recreational fishing in saltwater and freshwater. The Regulation contains 49 articles organized in the following chapters: 1. Definitions, etc.; 2. Eligible persons; 3. Administration and payment of recreational fishing licenses; 4. Certain forms of recreational fishing in saltwater; 5. Recreational fishermen's gear in saltwater; 6. Gear in freshwater; 7. Authorization, etc.; 8. Inspection, penalties, and enforcement, etc.
Recreational fishing may only be practiced by individuals who possess a valid fishing license, as stated in Article 54 of the Fisheries Act, with the exceptions contained in article 5 of this Regulation.
