Abstract
The present Regulation, issued by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration, applies to assembly points for breeding, working, or slaughter animals. It also applies to other gatherings of animals, including markets, animal shows, competitions, breeding events, exhibitions, and auctions for all species of animals. The Regulation contains 50 articles divided into the following chapters: 1. Scope and application; 2. Special rules for assembly points; 3. Special rules for other gatherings of animals, including in markets, animal shows, competitions, breeding events, exhibitions, and auctions for all species of animals; 4. Penalties; and 5. Entry into force.
The design and operation of assembly points and other gatherings of animals covered by this regulation must at all times comply with the applicable rules on prevention, monitoring, control, and eradication of diseases and infections in animals. The provisions of this Regulation constitute minimum requirements.
