Abstract
This Regulation, issued by the issued by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities, lays down rules on impact assessments concerning international nature conservation areas and the protection of certain animal species in connection with the following projects: 1. Establishment of water and wind-based electricity generation facilities in the territorial sea and exclusive economic zone; 2. Establishment of new electricity transmission networks in the territorial sea and exclusive economic zone; 3. Dismantling of electricity cables not covered by no. 2 in the territorial sea or Danish continental shelf area. If any of these projects are deemed to have a significant impact on designated international nature conservation areas (habitats, bird protection areas, and Ramsar sites) within or outside Danish territory, authorizations and approvals may only be granted if an assessment of the project's effects on the site is conducted, taking into account the conservation objectives for the area and the considerations laid down in Article 2.
