Abstract
Subject to this Act, the Rules in the Schedule shall have effect in relation to and in connection with the carriage of goods by sea in ships carrying goods from any port in the State to any port outside the State. The Rules relating to bills of lading sets forth provisions on the responsibilities and liabilities and rights and immunities of the carrier under every contract of carriage of goods by sea, in relation to the loading, handling, storage, carriage, custody, care and discharge of such goods.
