Abstract
This Act makes provision for the establishment of the Geothermal Authority as a body corporate, defines its functions and powers, provides rules for its administration and in relation with some matters regarding exploration for and exploitation of geothermal energy.
It shall be the function of the Authority to promote the exploration, exploitation and management of the geothermal resources of Dominica by ensuring the effective development and utilization of these resources.
The Act also provides for the establishment of the Dominica Geothermal Company.
