Abstract
This Act lays down the procedures and requirements in respect of licensing and registration to carry out public investment fund, a self-managed investment fund, private investment fund, professional investment fund or foreign investment fund within the Currency Union. It also sets out provisions on the authorization, appointment and duties of the investment fund manager and administrator and their powers to appoint compliance officer. Part III sets out general regulatory matters, such as: application to the Commission for authorization; grant or refusal of application; imposition, variation or revocation of terms and conditions of authorization. Part IV deals with administrative and financial matters. Part V addresses miscellaneous provisions, including general offences and penalties.
